The Dutch Yoga Festival takes place from June 28th until 30st 2013 at the Dutch island of Terschelling. Practice a wide variety of yoga styles in beautiful natural surroundings. Immerse in a relaxed yogic atmosphere at the sea side. Enjoy sun, sea and yoga.
This seventh unique festival in pure nature blends yoga and meditation with the characteristics of the Dutch island. The official program starts Friday June 28th at 17.30 and ends Sunday June 30st at 15.30. There is also a pre festival program starting at Thursday June 28th and an after festival program until Monday.
Organization
The Yoga Festival is an initiative of the Yoga Festival Terschelling Foundation in cooperation with yoga schools, training institutes, the tourist bureau of Terschelling and Yogi Tea. Through the organizing of the yearly Yoga Festival the foundation’s mission is to promote and advance the practice of yoga to the international community.
Festival location
The festival will be held at camping site De Kooi on the Dutch island Terschelling. This natural area is magnificently situated next to the dunes, flanked by forest, a swimming lake and within walking/biking distance to the beach. Practice yoga at the sea side and in the dunes or yoga in one of the festival tents where delicious vegetarian meals are also served.
Program
This years festival programme offers the unique opportunity to practice various forms of yoga under the guidance of experienced and inspiring yoga teachers from all over the world. The theme of the festival 2013 is "Yoga of Love ". Yoga to connect with our heart and to shine.
The program offers a wide variety of yoga styles like Hatha, AcroYoga, Anusara, Ashtanga, Chakra, Vinyasa, Power, Kundalini, Raja Yoga as well as special workshops taught by inspiring international yoga teachers. The Yoga Festival as a source of inspiration for both beginners and experienced yogi’s to share experiences and create new ones.

Travel information
To travel to Terschelling take the ferry from Harlingen which is about 108 kilometers north of Amsterdam and 120 km from Schiphol, the airport of Amsterdam. When travelling by train, leave the train at the station Harlingen Haven which is about 7 minutes walking from the ferry terminal. The car parking area in Harlingen is about 8 minutes walking from the ferry.

Rental bicycle
A rental bicycle is reserved for you when you arrive with the ferry on Terschelling. The bike rental will take your luggage to the festival site or wherever you stay free of charge
Prices
The fee for the Dutch Yoga Festival 2013 is € 210,- per person. This includes all workshops, classes, live music and staying on the festival site, breakfast, lunch, dinner, fruit, Yogi Tea, VAT & a rental bike.

About the workshops
There is wide variety of yoga styles at the festival, such as diverse styles of Hatha yoga like Anusara Yoga, Iyengar Yoga, Dru yoga, Kundalini yoga, AcroYoga, Ashtanga yoga, Chakra yoga, Power yoga and Vinyasa yoga under the guidance of expert yoga teachers. Yoga with attention to posture, movement, breath, music, mantra, relaxation and meditation. Moreover there are workshops in combination with dance, voice, massage, meditation and philosophy. The Yoga Festival for total vitality, harmony, meditation, transformation and intense joy.

Daniel Strausser was initiated into the ancient brotherhood of Himalayan yogis. He lived many years in the Indian Himalaya, studied Yoga at Banaras Hindu University in Varanassi, worked at a Yoga Therapy Clinic in the Himalayan foothills and studied Ayurveda in Kerala. Clayton Horton is an highly appreciated Ashtanga teacher. He has been a student of yoga for over 22 years and is a student of Sri K. Pattabhi Jois and the Greensufi. His practice is deeply rooted in the Ashtanga Tradition and daily meditation.
